What is True Freedom?
I understand Freedom in this country not to mean you can do whatever you want. It means not limiting the ability to live out our God given potential and not be jailed for it. Freedom in this country is being redefined by the Left to be a license for immorality. The psychological sector is redefining disorders and immortality to be normal. It does a terrible disservice to humanity as it puts a person more in internal bondage or slavery to disorders.
God is not an abstract concept. He exists and loves us individually more than one can imagine. He can crush us like bugs, but that is not in his nature. One of the greatest gifts to humanity is free will which means we can choose good and evil. Choosing evil has consequences that can hurt others and cause suffering. We all have done bad things at one time or another. However, his patience with us is unmeasured. I have witnessed what can occur to a person when he “invites” God into his life. There is an “internal” freedom. The effects are real. Love is dumped into ones heart. I have seen alcoholics and drug addicts instantly cured. God is a perfect gentleman, waiting for us, constantly inviting us. He will not violate our free will. To do so would be the antithesis of love. This is a great mystery, but true. The whole crux of Christianity is Jesus Christ, who is God’s son, effectively being God, becoming man giving witness to God, the Father. Jesus is God becoming human which elevates the dignity and value of each man. Our individual worth is unimaginable. It leaves me in awe and humbles me. Jesus Christ is the antidote for humanity gone astray. The best is that there is more beyond this life. This life is not the end. This life is just the beginning and is opportunity for the next if we choose the good.
Romans 8:20-23 “20 for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and will obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.”
Galatians 5: 1 “For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”
2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
1 Peter 2:16 “As servants of God, live as free people, yet do not use your freedom as a pretext for evil.”
